Description
Remarkable Rocks are ancient granite boulders located in the Flinders Chase National Park on Kangaroo Island off the coast of South Australia.
This series of photographs was taken on Kodak High Speed Infrared Film during 2003. I've recently had the opportunity to scan the negatives making it possible to include these photographs in my online gallery. Features of infrared film are a "glow" around some objects and a grainy appearance which is unique to film photography. Infrared film is sensitive to a wider range of light than regular film and can record parts of the light spectrum that is not visible to our eyes.

I love rocks, but so hard to get good photos of them! This is a fantastic find and the drama in the clouds contributes to the light and shadows and mood!! v/f!

Thank you Theresa! These were shot using b&w infrared film many years ago. I've recently had access to a scanner than can make quality scans of negatives.
