Built in 1889 the Wandong-Bendigo line closed in 1968. The Rail Bridge and line were used to supply the Bendigo mines with shaft timbers. The line was also very important for local produce, being used in the transportation of wool and sheep. (Vic Heritage Database)

This is a beautiful black & white, Linda! What a find this old (rickety!) trestle is ...& so much natural texture showing itself in the drama of monochrome. Interesting how the different wooden structures correlate with one another - a Before & After : the origins of the bridge :))
