Description
Back in 2007 a couch was dumped at the Everton Bus shelter, this gave some locals the idea to add a few more pieces of furniture and create a lounge room, just for fun.
What started out as a one off event has turned into a bit of a tourist attraction in the village of Everton, with the bus shelter being decorated for major events throughout the year including Christmas, Easter, Anzac Day, Valentine's Day and the Wangaratta Jazz Festival. In this photograph it is decorated with signs in support of the Country Fire Authority, volunteer firefighters.
Travellers will stop to have their photo taken in the bus shelter. The Everton bus shelter even won an Australia Day award in recognition of its role in adding to community spirit.

What a pity they wouldn't let you! Maybe you should apply for an arts grant to do it, that would legitimize it and you would be seen as the artist you are.
