Beautiful still life Linda, you are blessed to live on 52 acres and I wish I was closer to you so I could buy your strawberry jam!!! :))...F/L
Linda Lees replied:
I do love living here! This year I made some cherry jam. Thanks for your lovely message Donna, if you were closer I'd give you some jam.

Lovely! My husband has grown me a small garden every year of tomatoes, green onions, variety of peppers, squash and garlic and we have a herb garden as well. Every year we keep expanding. I love to cook..it's one of my passions. My cooking is better than my photography lol, only because I have been cooking for 32 years. I have only been doing photography for about 5 years..my photos are either a hit or miss..lol. I hope to live a long time to improve in photography just like I've been fortunate in my cooking (mother taught me). You have such a lovely garden. How big is your garden and what other veggies or fruits of yours aren't in this pic? Do you like to cook?
Linda Lees replied:
Hi Trish, I live on 52 acres, the house is in the middle of the property. I've probably got an acre or so of garden. Strawberries grow like weeds and I make jam with them because I grow too many to eat. I give jars of jams away as gifts to friends and family. I've planted many fruit trees, it's part of my retirement plan, so that we can live cheaper once we're on less income. I've got apples, pears, nashi, cherries, peaches, nectarines, apricots, almonds and plums. I'm more of a gardener than a cook.

It's so nice to have chemical free, fruit and veg, and as a bonus it serves as a subject for my art. Thanks for your visit Tom.
