Description
Travelers going to or leaving Uluru and Kings Canyon will see this spectacular rock formation, as they travel along the Lasseter Highway. There is a lookout, approximately 11 km east of Curtin Springs where you can stop for a break and shoot some photos.
A 700 million-year-old sand and rock mesa, that lies in a straight line with Uluru and Kata Tjuta, Mt Connor is a strangely forgotten mountain that is part of the same rock formation that stretches underground and includes both Uluru and the domes of Kata Tjuta.
Approximately 115 km east of Uluru, Mount Connor is located on the western fringe of the huge, working Curtin Springs cattle station. Although located on private property, it is accessible via tours from Curtin Springs.

Odd Jeppesen
Superb composition. The feeling of distance - space - is almost frightening.
Linda Lees replied:
Thanks so much Odd! The Australian outback has vast areas of empty countryside, so I'm pleased that I was able to portray that to you
Terri Waters
Wonderful natural framing
Linda Lees replied:
There's not too many trees out there Terri, so I was lucky to have this one to frame the scene. Thanks for your kind message
