Description
An old pushbike leaning against an equally old wall, with its weathered window frame. The Australia Post sticker on the bike denotes that it was once used for mail delivery. Photographed at the Cobdogla Steam Museum in tiny town of Cobdogla in South Australia.

I got a red bike for Christmas. How could I not stop here. It was funny. I felt like a 10 year old seeing the bike in front of the tree when I came downstairs. Anyway, love the pastel-like tones. It would have worked in BW, but I agree with posting this version. Excellent framing too Linda. L/F

Sounds like your bike was a lovely surprise! Are red bikes like red cars and go faster? Thanks for your kind message Glenn, it's always nice to hear from you ☺

Such a nostalgic photo Linda that speaks of a time long ago when life was quieter and simpler! Very reminiscent! vf mm

Wonderful composition and scene, Linda, and I love the shadows!!! :)))
Linda Lees replied:
Thanks Laurie! I took it thinking it would make a great b&w picture but then I like the warm tones and decided to leave it colour.

I enjoy the contrast between circular wheels and square window panes, Shadows are an extra treat. Well done! F/L and my minimalism group POD for 5/31/18.
