Description
The bathing boxes on the beaches of Melbourne have become an iconic symbol of the city. Built long ago, to preserve the modesty of women at the beach by providing them somewhere to change into their neck to knee swimsuits. They are now mostly held by families who pass them down from one generation to the next.

What wonderful colours for beach huts! They make ours look dowdy. Great capture
Linda Lees replied:
Not everyone is brave enough to go for colours such as this. I'm sure the majority of beach huts both here and in Britain are painted in more subdued tones. Thanks Terri!

Great title & a wonderful colourful capture, Linda! We see these in England, but we don’t have them where we live in Canada ;)🍃
Linda Lees replied:
Is it too cold for swimming in Canada? Thanks for your visit and message Connie. ☺

I finally get back for these colorful statements. I'm very glad you gave the history of them - a nice history. It's no wonder they are in such great condition. Great framing on this row Linda. Brilliant colors is an understatement. Putting that white rail where you did changes the image. It brings out all the geometry and suddenly I am looking at all these shapes within shapes. Well done. Now onto the 2nd one.
Linda Lees replied:
Glenn, I really appreciate the time you take to leave your considered and kind comments. Thank you ☺
