Amaryllis belladonna
Sometimes commonly known as Naked Ladies, Belladonnas produce a magnificent display of long stemmed bright rose-pink flowers from leafless bulbs in late summer/early autumn. After the long lasting and fragrant show of color the green, rather succulent leaves appear. An extremely tough flowering bulb that is both frost and drought resistant once established.
This photograph has been enhanced by the addition of textures from Kim Klassen and Adze Arts.
